Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid and current California Physical Therapy license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience working in pediatric or school-based settings preferred
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to engage students, staff, and families
- Ability to adapt interventions to diverse student needs and learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students to identify physical therapy needs and develop individualized treatment goals
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy services to students with a variety of physical challenges
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special education teams, and families to integrate therapy into classroom routines
- Maintain accurate documentation according to state and district guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise and recommendations for accommodations and services
- Stay current on best practices and advances in pediatric physical therapy
