Desired Qualifications:
- Valid and current Physical Therapy license in California
- Experience or interest in pediatric and school-based settings
- Ability to assess, develop, and implement individualized therapy plans
- Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with staff, students, and families
- Organizational skills to maintain clear documentation and manage a varied caseload
- Commitment to following school guidelines and individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Flexibility to adapt treatment plans as student needs evolve
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine students’ needs for physical therapy services
- Develop and implement targeted therapeutic interventions within the school setting
- Document student progress, prepare reports, and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support students’ academic and functional goals
- Educate and train staff or caregivers on appropriate techniques to assist students
- Support students in achieving independence and participation in school activities
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to school-based physical therapy
