School-Based Physical Therapist - Garland, Texas

Key Qualifications:

• Active Texas Physical Therapist (PT) license required
• Previous experience working in school-based settings strongly preferred
• Must provide references for the two most recent supervisors
• Ability to complete fingerprinting through the TEA, if not done recently for another public school district (required for credentialing)
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills
• Enthusiasm for supporting students from diverse backgrounds and grade levels

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide physical therapy services to students in grades K-12, adapting sessions to each student's needs
• Travel between multiple schools, ensuring comprehensive coverage as part of an itinerant team
• Work closely with educators and families, being an active member of the school community
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and document treatments per school and professional protocols
• Contribute to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and collaborate regularly with multidisciplinary teams
• Offer insight and support to faculty regarding best practices for student mobility and accessibility
