Make a meaningful impact in the lives of young learners by utilizing your pediatric physical therapy expertise in a rewarding school-based setting. This contract opportunity is perfect for a dedicated Physical Therapist seeking to work closely with preschool-aged children in an engaging and supportive environment. You’ll be based entirely onsite, working with a caseload of 25-30 students, covering both an Extended School Year summer session as well as the start of the new school year, with potential to extend beyond the initial timeline.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Valid Physical Therapist license in New York
  • Experience working in school-based or pediatric settings, ideally with preschool students
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for children ages 3-5
  • Comfortable working onsite and providing hands-on therapy

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver physical therapy services to preschool students as outlined in Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Assess students’ motor skills and develop targeted interventions to enhance physical development and functional mobility
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and other service providers to support students' educational and therapeutic goals
  • Track progress, maintain accurate documentation, and participate in team meetings
  • Adapt activities and equipment to meet the developmental needs of each child within the classroom setting

This position offers 40 hours per week with a consistent schedule through both the six-week ESY term (July 6th – August 14th) and into the start of the new school year (September 8th – October 31st), with a possibility to continue through November.
