This contract opportunity offers a chance to work as an itinerant Physical Therapist, providing vital support to a diverse student population ranging from preschool through high school. As an essential member of a collaborative educational team, you’ll travel between sites near Gilroy, CA, using your clinical skills to help students reach their full physical potential in the school setting.

Qualifications and Experience Sought:

  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in California
  • Previous experience working in school settings strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills for engaging with students, staff, and families
  • Capability to adapt strategies for a variety of age groups and abilities
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between multiple school sites as part of an itinerant assignment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess students’ physical development and motor skills
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support students’ educational success
  • Work closely with educators, families, and other therapy providers to integrate therapy goals within classroom routines
  • Document evaluations, progress, and interventions in compliance with school and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert recommendations and insights
  • Deliver services flexibly to meet the needs of students from preschool through high school
