Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in California
- Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred
- Strong assessment, therapy planning, and intervention skills
- Ability to travel between multiple school sites within the district
- Comfortable adapting to a range of environments and working with varied student needs
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Commitment to inclusion and to fostering student success
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine student needs and develop individualized therapy plans
- Deliver direct physical therapy services to students, adjusting interventions as necessary
- Consult with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support each student’s IEP goals
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and required documentation for compliance
- Educate staff and families on physical therapy’s role in the educational setting
- Participate in meetings and trainings as required by the school district
- Travel between schools, providing expertise and continuity of care
