A fulfilling contract opportunity is open for a skilled Physical Therapist ready to make a meaningful impact in a school setting near Glen Burnie, MD. This full-time position runs on a Monday through Friday schedule, totaling 35 daytime hours each week, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch daily. The assignment starts as soon as possible and continues through the Extended School Year program, with year-round responsibilities extending into the 26/27 school year. Some flexibility is offered, including flextime scheduling and occasional early morning or evening consultations and training sessions to best serve students’ needs.

You’ll collaborate with students ages 3 to 21, developing and delivering targeted therapy to support both physical mobility and the use of adaptive equipment in an educational environment. Caseload specifics will be discussed during the interview to ensure the best fit for both skillset and experience.

Required Qualifications:

  • Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners
  • In-depth understanding of normal and abnormal sensory-motor development, and musculoskeletal function/dysfunction
  • Proficiency in evaluative and therapeutic techniques for children and young adults with multiple disabilities (ages 3-21)
  • Experience with orthotics, wheelchairs, adaptive positioning, and assistive devices for pediatric and adolescent populations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, and implement individualized physical therapy goals for a diverse student group
  • Consult with school staff and families to optimize the use of adaptive devices and positioning supports
  • Provide training on effective use of assistive technology and therapeutic interventions
  • Maintain thorough documentation and contribute to multidisciplinary team strategies
