School-Based Physical Therapist - Glen Burnie, MD

Key Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program with current PT licensure
• Previous experience in a school, pediatric, or similar setting is a plus
• Understanding of IEP processes and school-based therapy documentation
• Strong assessment, intervention planning, and communication skills
• Familiarity with assistive devices and adaptive equipment
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary education team
• Compassionate, student-centered approach and adaptability in varied school environments

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct physical therapy services to students with a range of physical and developmental needs
• Conduct thorough evaluations and develop individualized therapy plans based on student assessments and IEP goals
• Document progress and maintain records in compliance with school and state regulations
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and other related service providers to create supportive learning environments
• Participate in IEP meetings, provide recommendations, and contribute to multidisciplinary planning
• Educate staff and family members on strategies for reinforcing physical therapy goals throughout the school day
