Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Current Physical Therapist license for California (or eligibility to obtain)
- Prior experience providing physical therapy in a school setting is highly beneficial
- Strong understanding of IEP development, therapy documentation, and goal setting
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt strategies and interventions for diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for students with physical disabilities or motor challenges
- Implement direct and consultative physical therapy services as outlined in students’ IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to optimize students' school participation and physical access
- Monitor and document progress toward therapy goals, maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide expertise on adaptive equipment, accommodations, and mobility solutions
