Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current Physical Therapist license for California (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Prior experience providing physical therapy in a school setting is highly beneficial
  • Strong understanding of IEP development, therapy documentation, and goal setting
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt strategies and interventions for diverse student needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for students with physical disabilities or motor challenges
  • Implement direct and consultative physical therapy services as outlined in students’ IEPs
  • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to optimize students' school participation and physical access
  • Monitor and document progress toward therapy goals, maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide expertise on adaptive equipment, accommodations, and mobility solutions
  • Promote safe and positive movement experiences within the school environment
