Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Physical Therapist license (California state)
  • Experience or strong interest in school-aged pediatric populations
  • Familiarity with developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Strong communication skills for working with students, teachers, and families
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Previous school-based PT experience is a plus, but not required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify students’ physical and functional needs
  • Develop goal-oriented treatment plans tailored to each student
  • Deliver direct therapy services and monitor progress in accordance with IEPs
  • Collaborate with teaching staff, families, and other specialists to support student success and inclusion
  • Provide input to classroom staff on adaptive equipment and accessibility
  • Maintain thorough documentation and participate in IEP meetings as needed
  • Guide and educate school staff and families about strategies to enhance student mobility and independence
