Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility to obtain licensure) as a Physical Therapist
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Compassion, flexibility, and a student-centered approach to care
Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and develop treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Provide direct physical therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs
- Document session notes, progress reports, and comply with school and legal requirements
- Collaborate closely with educational staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom
- Educate families and school teams on strategies to promote student mobility and participation
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide expertise in developing student goals
- Adapt interventions and approaches to diverse learning environments
