Physical Therapist - School Setting in Gowanda, NY

Step into a dynamic contract opportunity supporting students across elementary, middle, and high school settings from November through February. Based near Gowanda, NY, this full-time position runs weekdays from 7:30 AM to 3:15 PM. While the primary caseload is elementary, you’ll also serve a handful of students at nearby middle and high schools—just a mile apart, ensuring minimal travel during your day.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in New York State
• Experience providing PT services within K-12 schools, especially elementary level
• Comfortable managing a diverse caseload and tailoring interventions to a range of abilities
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to document services clearly and efficiently
• Familiarity with IEPs, assessments, and school-based therapy goals

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver physical therapy services to students, focusing on promoting mobility, independence, and academic participation
• Conduct screenings, evaluations, and progress assessments
• Develop and implement IEP-related goals and objectives
• Consult and collaborate with educational staff and families
• Adjust interventions and schedules as needed to maximize student success across school settings
• Maintain documentation and compliance aligned with school and state guidelines
