Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state of Texas
• Previous experience in a school setting or strong interest in pediatric/school-based therapy
• Thorough understanding of IEP (Individualized Education Program) processes
• Strong communication and recordkeeping abilities
• Compassion, patience, and a talent for working with children and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct physical therapy services to students, both individually and in groups
• Assess and document students’ functional abilities and develop progress reports
• Collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to integrate goals into students’ daily routines
• Support the creation and implementation of IEPs, contributing to meetings as needed
• Educate staff and parents on strategies to enhance students’ physical participation at school
