This part-time position is structured for three days per week, supporting a manageable caseload of approximately 25 students. Your expertise as a Physical Therapist in a school-based setting will make a lasting difference in developing students’ physical abilities and helping them achieve their educational goals.
Key Qualifications:
- Current or pending state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
- Experience serving school-aged children (K-12) in an educational setting
- Solid understanding of IEPs and ability to document progress in alignment with educational standards
- Ability to work collaboratively with fellow therapists, educators, and families
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students with varying physical needs
- Deliver direct PT services in accordance with students' IEPs
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to student development
- Educate school staff and families on strategies for supporting mobility and independence throughout the school day
- Maintain accurate documentation and timely progress reports
- Attend relevant meetings and contribute insights to support student success
