An exciting opportunity awaits an experienced Physical Therapist looking to make a meaningful impact in a school setting. This full-time, contract position spans 35 hours per week and will support K-12th grade students during two consecutive maternity leave periods, covering both the fall and winter terms. Starting October 12, 2026, through March 12, 2027, you'll provide vital therapeutic services to help students achieve their physical goals and fully participate in their educational experience.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid Physical Therapist license in Ohio (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Prior experience in a school-based environment, particularly supporting students from kindergarten through 12th grade
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Organizational skills and flexibility to adapt to varying caseloads and student needs
  • Passionate about promoting student independence and mobility within the school environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students requiring PT services
  • Deliver direct physical therapy interventions to students across K-12th grades
  • Collaborate with teachers, aides, and other service providers to integrate PT goals into classroom activities
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert recommendations for student support and progress
  • Offer training or consultation for school staff to reinforce adaptive strategies throughout the school day
