School-Based Physical Therapist - Gulfport, Mississippi

Key Qualifications:

• Valid and active Physical Therapy license in Mississippi (or eligibility for licensure)
• Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is highly desired
• Strong collaboration skills, working with educators, administrators, and families
• Proficient at developing and implementing individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
• Comfortable managing a caseload of varying diagnoses and ages
• Effective written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Assess and evaluate students to identify physical, functional, and mobility challenges
• Develop targeted therapy plans aligned with students’ educational needs and goals
• Deliver direct and consultative therapeutic services in the school setting
• Document progress and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including IEP processes
• Educate staff and families on strategies to support student mobility and accessibility
• Adapt interventions as necessary to ensure student progress and participation
• Maintain compliance with school district, state, and federal guidelines
