Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid Physical Therapy license in New York State
  • Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
  • Knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs) and related documentation
  • Strong communication skills for interaction with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to design and implement safe, effective therapy programs for school-aged children
  • Organizational skills to manage caseload and meet documentation requirements

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assess students’ physical abilities and develop treatment plans
  • Deliver physical therapy interventions aligned with students' IEP goals
  • Monitor student progress and update goals and strategies as needed
  • Consult with teachers, staff, and families regarding student needs and adaptations
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on physical therapy services
  • Maintain accurate and timely records and reports in accordance with school policies
