Your experience as a Physical Therapist or Physical Therapy Assistant in educational environments will be instrumental in supporting a diverse population, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorders, seizure disorders, genetic syndromes (such as Fragile X), metabolic disorders, and complex dual diagnoses. Many students are on the path to vocational transition at age 22, supported by a strong behavioral-based program rooted in ABA principles.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Connecticut Physical Therapy license or eligibility to obtain by start date
- Background in school-based or pediatric physical therapy strongly preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork abilities
- Enthusiasm for inclusive practice and individualized student support
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop tailored therapy plans aligned with IEP goals
- Deliver both direct and consultative PT services in academic and pre-vocational settings
- Collaborate with teachers, OTs, SLPs, and vocational teams to foster student growth
- Enhance students’ functional mobility, independence, and safety
- Clearly document all services and student progress per regulatory guidelines

The contract runs from ASAP through June 12, 2026, Monday through Friday, with options for up to 40 hours per week.
