Physical Therapist - School Setting in Hamden, CT

The assignment runs from July 1 to July 30, with a consistent Monday through Thursday schedule from 7:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. You’ll have shorter workdays while making a meaningful difference for students, helping them achieve their therapy goals during the summer program.

Desired Skills & Requirements:

• Active Physical Therapy license for Connecticut (or eligibility)
• Previous experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy preferred
• Familiarity with age-appropriate therapy interventions for children and adolescents
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and parents
• Professionalism, adaptability, and a positive approach to supporting students’ growth

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and deliver individualized physical therapy services to students requiring support
• Develop and implement treatment plans to help students meet physical milestones and participate fully in school activities
• Document progress, update goals, and communicate observations with educational team members and families
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and other therapists to integrate PT strategies into the classroom
• Maintain compliance with special education plans and school protocols
