School-Based Physical Therapist - Hamden, CT

Step into an impactful role as a full-time Physical Therapist supporting students throughout the entire academic year. This rewarding contract position is located near Hamden, CT, and offers a schedule of 35 hours per week across two engaging school settings. Your expertise will be instrumental in helping students develop, thrive, and reach key milestones in their educational journey.

Your primary locations will be at two vibrant campuses, where you’ll have the unique opportunity to collaborate with dedicated special education teams, teachers, and families. As you create tailored treatment plans and deliver hands-on care, you'll foster independence and confidence in each student you serve.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Connecticut Physical Therapist license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
• Background in school-based physical therapy is highly desirable
• Experience with assessments, developing IEP goals, and documenting student progress
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with children, families, and school staff
• Dedication to continuous improvement and professional growth

Responsibilities:

• Provide physical therapy interventions to students per their IEPs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize student outcomes
• Evaluate students’ needs and adapt treatment plans as necessary
• Maintain accurate and timely records to ensure compliance with school policies and regulations
• Travel between the two assigned school locations as part of your daily schedule
