This contract position offers the chance to work across two school sites with a richly diverse caseload, including students with Autism Spectrum Disorders, seizure and metabolic disorders, genetic syndromes, and those preparing for vocational transitions at age 22. The program emphasizes evidence-based, behavioral approaches grounded in ABA principles.
In this impactful role, you’ll:
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive assessments and design individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals.
- Provide direct physical therapy and consultative services within multiple school settings.
- Partner closely with multidisciplinary teams—educators, occupational and speech therapists, vocational staff—to create a holistic, supportive environment.
- Promote functional mobility, safety, and independence for students in academic and vocational contexts.
- Maintain precise documentation of services and progress in accordance with school and regulatory guidelines.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
- Current (or eligible) Connecticut Physical Therapy license.
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy highly desirable.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
- Dedication to inclusive, student-focused intervention.
Position Details:
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, full school days (up to 40 hours/week); part-time applicants welcomed.
- Assignment runs from ASAP through June 12, 2026.
- Caseload spans a variety of student needs within a highly supportive, collaborative structure.
