This position runs from September 1, 2026, through June 11, 2027, with potential extension into the summer program for those interested in ESY services. You'll split your time between two dynamic school sites, offering committed support alongside a team deeply invested in student growth.
As a Physical Therapist, you'll play a key role within a strong behavioral program deeply rooted in the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Your work will empower students with various support needs to access their education and daily activities more independently.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid state Physical Therapy license and applicable clearances
- Experience providing PT services in school or pediatric settings
- Familiarity or comfort working within behavior-based or ABA environments
- Ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—teachers, paraprofessionals, occupational therapists, and speech therapists
- Strong communication skills to engage families and caregivers and contribute to student success
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students and develop individualized PT plans supporting IEP goals
- Deliver direct and consultative physical therapy services in accordance with best practices
- Track progress, document interventions, and participate in IEP meetings
- Adapt and modify environments to maximize access and participation
- Educate staff and families on strategies to support student mobility and independence
- Travel between two nearby school sites as scheduled
