Key qualifications for this role include:

  • Valid and active Massachusetts PT license
  • Previous experience working in school-based settings preferred
  • Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and relevant documentation
  • Willingness to obtain any additional Massachusetts educational certifications, if needed
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working closely with interdisciplinary teams, students, and families

As a valued Physical Therapist contract professional, you will:

  • Deliver direct physical therapy interventions to students in alignment with their IEP goals
  • Assess students’ functional mobility, strength, and motor skills within the school environment
  • Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and other team members to optimize accommodations and modifications
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation and progress reports
  • Support and guide school staff regarding safe practices and adaptive equipment
  • Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages student independence and well-being
