Key qualifications for this role include:
- Valid and active Massachusetts PT license
- Previous experience working in school-based settings preferred
- Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and relevant documentation
- Willingness to obtain any additional Massachusetts educational certifications, if needed
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working closely with interdisciplinary teams, students, and families
As a valued Physical Therapist contract professional, you will:
- Deliver direct physical therapy interventions to students in alignment with their IEP goals
- Assess students’ functional mobility, strength, and motor skills within the school environment
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and other team members to optimize accommodations and modifications
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and progress reports
- Support and guide school staff regarding safe practices and adaptive equipment
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages student independence and well-being
