Key Qualifications:

  • Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
  • Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
  • Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and school therapy processes
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork skills, collaborating easily with teachers, parents, and educational staff
  • Ability to assess, plan, and implement therapy interventions for students with diverse needs
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing student caseloads and schedules

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide physical therapy evaluations and direct intervention for students according to IEP goals
  • Develop tailored treatment plans that promote mobility, motor skills, and independence within the school setting
  • Accurately document sessions, progress, and outcomes for each student in accordance with school policies
  • Consult and collaborate with other educational professionals and families to optimize student care
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute valuable input to support educational success
  • Support a caseload of approximately 30 contacts per week with the option to divide the schedule for those interested in part-time work
