Desired Background and Experience:
- Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist
- Experience working with school-aged children or in a pediatric setting is preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, support staff, and families
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to creating an inclusive, safe, and supportive environment for all students
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate the needs of students with physical challenges
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy interventions in line with IEP goals
- Consult and collaborate with teachers and parents regarding student progress and needs
- Document services, progress, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
- Support and educate staff on student accommodations and mobility strategies within the classroom setting
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional recommendations
- Promote motor skill development, safe mobility, and independence for students of varying abilities
