Desired Background and Experience:

  • Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist
  • Experience working with school-aged children or in a pediatric setting is preferred
  • Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, support staff, and families
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive, safe, and supportive environment for all students

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to evaluate the needs of students with physical challenges
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy interventions in line with IEP goals
  • Consult and collaborate with teachers and parents regarding student progress and needs
  • Document services, progress, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
  • Support and educate staff on student accommodations and mobility strategies within the classroom setting
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional recommendations
  • Promote motor skill development, safe mobility, and independence for students of varying abilities
