School-Based Physical Therapist - Henrico, Virginia

This contract position is onsite and seeks a dedicated professional to provide high-quality therapy services, replacing a virtual PT. Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
• Experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations is preferred
• Strong assessment and intervention skills to support students’ IEP goals
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and other service providers
• Competence in documentation and adhering to compliance standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct physical therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs
• Conduct initial evaluations and re-evaluations to determine students’ needs
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focusing on functional mobility, accessibility, and school participation
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting for each student
• Consult with teachers, parents, and staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into the classroom
• Maintain up-to-date records of student progress and services provided
• Create a supportive and motivating environment that encourages growth and independence
