Physical Therapist - School Setting in Hernando, MS

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Mississippi (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of IEP process and relevant documentation
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, staff, and families
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload and adapt to changing priorities
• Commitment to ethical, student-centered care

Primary Responsibilities:

• Evaluate students’ physical abilities and develop targeted treatment plans
• Deliver direct physical therapy services in both individual and group settings
• Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to goal development, and maintain ongoing documentation
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to maximize student outcomes
• Track student progress, adjust interventions as needed, and provide consultation to school staff
• Support classroom adaptations and advocate for accessibility
