Physical Therapist - School Setting in Hockessin, DE

This contract opportunity offers a flexible schedule with the possibility to work full-time or part-time, Monday through Friday, for the 2026-2027 school year. In this position, you’ll serve students within a school building and extend critical physical therapy services to those who are medically homebound, creating an inclusive and supportive learning experience for all.

What We’re Looking For:

• Valid Delaware Physical Therapist license (required for consideration)
• Experience in school-based physical therapy or pediatric settings preferred
• Readiness to support students with a range of physical therapy needs, including homebound cases and in-school services
• Flexibility to adapt to changing caseloads and assignments within the district
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Dedication to collaborative work with educators, families, and other professionals

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct in-school and homebound physical therapy services in accordance with individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Assess students’ physical therapy needs and provide timely interventions
• Develop and implement treatment plans aimed at maximizing student participation and independence
• Collaborate closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive student support
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation and progress reports
• Adapt services as caseload fluctuates throughout the academic year
• Travel between school sites and homes within the district as needed
