School-Based Physical Therapist - Hope Mills, North Carolina

Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting student growth as a school-based Physical Therapist within a dynamic educational environment near Hope Mills, NC. This contract position spans a comprehensive schedule, including Extended School Year (ESY) from July 8, 2026, to July 30, 2036, and a full-time assignment from August 13, 2026, through May 28, 2027. The role is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., totaling 35 hours per week, and involves collaborating within a PT/PTA team managing a caseload of approximately 50 students across multiple schools of varying grade levels.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Physical Therapist license to practice in North Carolina (required).
• Experience in school settings, particularly with a variety of age groups.
• Preferred: Early intervention experience and TPBA (Transdisciplinary Play-Based Assessment) training/certification for Pre-K evaluations; willing to consider candidates without TPBA certification.
• Capacity for travel between school sites; proximity between assignments will be prioritized. Mileage reimbursement is provided.
• Must be able to pass fingerprinting/background check to work with Pre-K students.
• Comfortable working collaboratively as part of a larger PT/PTA team.

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative physical therapy services to students from Pre-K through high school.
• Conduct assessments and participate in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Coordinate with teachers, staff, and families to support students’ academic and functional goals.
• Document services and progress in accordance with school and state guidelines.
• Adapt to diverse environments as schools and student assignments may vary.
