Essential Qualifications:

  • Valid Physical Therapist license in Virginia
  • Previous experience working in K-12 educational settings or with pediatric populations
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers, staff, and families
  • Ability to design and implement individualized physical therapy programs
  • Experience documenting progress and goals in accordance with IEPs and school protocols
  • Availability to work onsite (no remote/virtual options for this role)

Role Responsibilities:

  • Assess students’ physical therapy needs within school environments
  • Develop and execute treatment plans in alignment with IEP goals
  • Collaborate with special education teams, educators, and caregivers to support student achievement
  • Conduct ongoing progress monitoring and adjust interventions as necessary
  • Provide clear reporting and participate in IEP meetings as needed
  • Educate staff and families on strategies to support students’ mobility and accessibility needs
