Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in New York State
  • Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric environment is highly preferred
  • Strong ability to collaborate with educators, families, and other support staff
  • Skilled in developing, implementing, and tracking individualized therapy plans
  • Familiarity with documentation requirements and IEP processes
  • Compassionate, flexible, and effective communication skills
  • Ability to manage a full-time caseload spanning grades K-12

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based PT interventions to students from kindergarten through 12th grade
  • Assess, document, and monitor student progress while maintaining required records
  • Address and make up 450 compensatory PT hours as part of your assignment
  • Collaborate with special education staff, classroom teachers, and families to create supportive learning environments
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary planning
