Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

  • Active licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) in New York
  • Experience working in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
  • Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Compassion, patience, and adaptability working with students of varying abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students’ physical therapy needs
  • Develop and implement customized treatment plans and therapeutic interventions
  • Monitor and report on student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
  • Support IEP meetings by providing expert input and documentation
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to integrate therapy into classroom routines
  • Educate staff and families on effective strategies and exercises
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school policies and state regulations
