Physical Therapist - School Setting in Jackson, MS

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Mississippi (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience working with children or in schools preferred
• Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Knowledge of IEP process and related documentation
• Adaptability in dynamic educational environments
• Commitment to ongoing professional growth and learning

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct physical therapy services to students in accordance with IEPs
• Assess students’ physical abilities and recommend interventions
• Document progress and maintain accurate therapy records
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other service providers
• Assist in development and review of IEP goals related to physical therapy
• Attend team meetings and contribute to student care planning
• Offer support and education to school staff on proper student handling and adaptive strategies
