Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid and current physical therapy licensure (or eligibility for licensure)
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred, though not required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to adapt and develop creative treatment plans for a diverse student population
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation a plus
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students’ physical development and functional abilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to students’ needs
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to promote student success
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Provide direct and consultative therapy services within the school environment
- Support curriculum adaptation and classroom modifications as needed
- Educate staff and families on physical therapy strategies and interventions
