This contract-based role, located near Johnson City, NY, offers a rewarding opportunity to deliver physical therapy services to a broad age spectrum—from adolescents to older adults, with a primary emphasis on young adults.
Enjoy a flexible part-time schedule of 15-20 hours per week, with the majority of patients engaging in twice-weekly sessions. Desired Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience as a Physical Therapist (PT) or Occupational Therapist (OT) in healthcare or school-based settings.
- Comfortable working with clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Demonstrated understanding of the Medicare/Medicaid system.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills—personality and rapport-building are essential.
- Flexibility and openness to collaborating on scheduling needs with program leadership.
- No requirement for script writing; focus can remain on patient care.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct PT services as part of an engaging outpatient program.
- Support functional movement, mobility, and activity participation for clients with a wide variety of disabilities (no restraint procedures required).
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, sharing vital information for continuity of care.
- Foster positive, trust-based relationships with clients and families.
