School-Based Physical Therapist - Johnson City, New York

This contract-based role, located near Johnson City, NY, offers a rewarding opportunity to deliver physical therapy services to a broad age spectrum—from adolescents to older adults, with a primary emphasis on young adults.

Desired Qualifications & Skills:

• Previous experience as a Physical Therapist (PT) or Occupational Therapist (OT) in healthcare or school-based settings.
• Comfortable working with clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Demonstrated understanding of the Medicare/Medicaid system.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills—personality and rapport-building are essential.
• Flexibility and openness to collaborating on scheduling needs with program leadership.
• No requirement for script writing; focus can remain on patient care.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct PT services as part of an engaging outpatient program.
• Support functional movement, mobility, and activity participation for clients with a wide variety of disabilities (no restraint procedures required).
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, sharing vital information for continuity of care.
• Foster positive, trust-based relationships with clients and families.
