Physical Therapist - School Setting in Jonesboro, GA

Ideal candidates for this position excel in working with pediatric populations and possess direct experience in school or pediatric healthcare environments. An active Georgia PT license is required to ensure seamless integration into the team.

Qualifications:

• Valid Physical Therapist license for the state of Georgia
• Prior experience supporting pediatric clients, preferably in a school-based or pediatric healthcare environment
• Ability to work effectively with students ranging from PreK to high school
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with educators, families, and other specialists
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for students of all abilities

Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations and develop individualized therapy plans for students as guided by IEPs and school requirements
• Deliver direct physical therapy services to address a range of physical needs
• Monitor, track, and report student progress using school-based documentation systems
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, families, and other related service providers
• Educate staff and family members on techniques and strategies to support student mobility and accessibility in the school environment
