Physical Therapist - School Setting in Kenner, LA

Step into an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of students as a contract Physical Therapist supporting a vibrant school community near Kenner, LA. This onsite, school-based position spans the academic year from August 2026 to June 2027, providing essential therapy services to students across all grade levels. As an itinerant PT, you’ll travel between sites, working with a focused caseload of approximately 35 students, helping them achieve their physical and educational goals.

What You'll Bring:

• Current and valid Physical Therapist (PT) state license
• Experience providing PT services in a school or pediatric setting preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage a caseload and adapt plans to meet the diverse needs of students
• Organizational skills and flexibility for an itinerant schedule

What You'll Do:

• Provide targeted physical therapy to students from diverse backgrounds and grade levels
• Assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support students’ development
• Travel between locations within the district to ensure all students receive services
• Document progress and participate in IEP meetings as needed
• Maintain compliance with state and district policies
