School-Based Physical Therapist - Kent, WA

Key Qualifications:

• Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) in Washington or eligibility for reciprocity
• Previous pediatric or school-based physical therapy experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with teachers, families, and students
• Ability to assess, plan, and implement therapeutic interventions tailored to students’ individual needs
• Flexibility and adaptability within dynamic school environments
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and best practices

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations to develop and update individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Implement evidence-based interventions to support motor development, mobility, and classroom participation
• Document assessments, progress notes, and reports in compliance with district, state, and federal requirements
• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to integrate therapy goals and strategies within daily routines
• Participate in IEP meetings and deliver training or resources to school staff when needed
• Advocate for student accessibility, safety, and functional independence within academic settings
