School-Based Physical Therapist - Kingman, Indiana

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Physical Therapist license in the state of Indiana
• Previous experience in a school-based role preferred, but not required
• Strong understanding of pediatric physical therapy and educational team dynamics
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with educators, parents, and support team members
• Ability to evaluate, develop, and implement individualized therapy plans for students with diverse needs
• Comfortable documenting progress and adapting interventions as needed

Role Overview and Responsibilities:

• Provide direct physical therapy interventions to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Participate in assessments and help develop IEPs alongside multidisciplinary teams
• Consult with teachers, instructional staff, and families to design strategies supporting each student’s mobility and development within the school environment
• Monitor and report on student progress, maintaining clear records in compliance with district and federal standards
• Educate faculty and families on techniques that foster student independence and enhance participation in classroom activities
• Foster an encouraging and supportive atmosphere that empowers students to achieve their goals
