Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Current state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist
- Previous experience working in school-based settings is highly preferred
- Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs for students
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers
- Ability to organize and manage a flexible caseload across various age groups
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled physical therapy services to students, focusing on mobility, gross motor skills, and functional independence
- Conduct evaluations and assessments in accordance with district policies and best practices
- Create, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans based on student needs and educational goals
- Participate in IEP meetings, accurately documenting progress and adapting interventions as necessary
- Collaborate closely with occupational therapists, special educators, and school teams for holistic student support
- Offer education and training to staff and families to foster student progress and inclusion
