Key Qualifications:
- Active Oregon Physical Therapist (PT) license required
- Previous experience with pediatric populations or school-based physical therapy strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Ability to assess, plan, and execute individualized therapy plans for students with diverse needs
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication and documentation abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to determine students’ therapy needs
- Develop and carry out individualized treatment plans to support each student’s academic success and mobility
- Provide direct therapy services in classrooms or designated therapy spaces following the school calendar
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to maximize carry-over of strategies and techniques
- Maintain accurate and timely records, progress reports, and documentation for compliance
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing insight and recommendations to ensure effective plans
- Educate staff and caregivers on ways to facilitate students’ motor development and participation
