Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity for a dedicated physical therapist with experience in school-based settings. This full-time role runs from November through February, providing essential physical therapy services to students across mostly elementary grades, with occasional assignments at nearby middle and high school locations conveniently situated just a mile apart.
As a valued member of an educational team, you’ll work a consistent schedule from 7:30 AM to 3:15 PM each day. Foster growth and independence in young learners while making meaningful connections with supportive staff and students. Your school-based expertise will empower children to access their education and participate fully in the school community.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist
- Experience in pediatric and/or school-based physical therapy
- Understanding of IEPs and the ability to document progress effectively
- Strong communication skills with students, staff, and families
- Collaborative spirit and adaptability to multi-school environments
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct physical therapy sessions to elementary students, with some support at nearby middle and high schools
- Develop, implement, and progress monitor therapy plans as part of the educational team
- Contribute to IEP meetings and provide input to support student goals
- Maintain clear, timely documentation of services and student progress
- Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure comprehensive care for students’ needs
