Physical Therapist - School Setting in Lakewood, NY

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist
• Previous experience working in a school setting preferred
• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Compassion and commitment to supporting diverse learners

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct physical therapy services to students based on IEP goals
• Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to individual needs
• Implement therapy interventions to promote students’ motor skills, strength, and mobility
• Consult with educational teams to adapt classroom environments for student success
• Document progress and maintain accurate, timely records
• Guide and educate school staff and families on strategies to support students’ physical needs
