School-Based Physical Therapist - Lakewood, WA

Key Qualifications:

• Hold a current Washington Physical Therapist license or be willing to obtain one prior to the start date
• Must be fingerprinted through OSPI or prepared to complete district fingerprinting requirements
• Demonstrated experience or passion for working with school-age children (K-12)
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with educational staff and families
• Previous experience in school-based physical therapy is highly preferred
• Ability to adapt interventions to meet varied student needs
• Commitment to providing onsite services (no remote or virtual candidates)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide physical therapy services to a caseload of approximately 25-30 students across the district
• Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and monitor student progress
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student goals
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide recommendations for accommodations or equipment
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
• Travel between school sites as needed to deliver services
