Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Current, valid Physical Therapy license
- Previous experience as a physical therapist in a school setting strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of pediatric therapy needs and IEP processes
- Ability to assess and develop intervention plans tailored for children ages 3-21
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with educators, families, and other professionals
- Documentation and report-writing proficiency
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and group therapy services to help students improve physical abilities and access the curriculum
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and set measurable goals in accordance with IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, aides, and parents to support student participation in school activities
- Monitor student progress, adjust interventions as needed, and maintain thorough records
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions
- Offer guidance on equipment, modifications, and mobility aids to help optimize the educational environment
