Step into an engaging contract opportunity as a Physical Therapist supporting students throughout the full school year. Working full-time, you'll work collaboratively with educators and families to support students’ physical growth and development within an educational setting—making a real difference every day.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
- Experience providing PT services in a school setting is valued, though strong clinical backgrounds with a passion for working with children are welcome
- Strong understanding of pediatric care, IEP process, and related documentation requirements
- Excellent communication with students, educators, and families
- Ability to adapt therapy plans to suit diverse student needs and learning environments
- Organizational skills to manage caseloads and meet deadlines effectively
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and nurturing atmosphere for students
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ functional mobility, motor skills, and needs within the school environment
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in alignment with educational goals and IEPs
- Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to ensure consistent support
- Document evaluations, progress notes, and treatment outcomes according to school and state guidelines
- Provide training and resources to staff on strategies to promote student independence and participation
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute to goal development and progress reporting
