Make a meaningful impact supporting young children and families as a Physical Therapist specializing in schools. This full-time contract opportunity focuses on serving an infant and toddler caseload at the district office, with a start date as soon as possible and continuing through July 1, 2027. You'll play a key role in early intervention, working collaboratively with educators and families to help each child reach important physical development milestones.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Current and active Physical Therapist license in Maryland (MD PT License required)
- Experience with pediatric populations, preferably in a school, early intervention, or similar environment
- Familiarity with developing and implementing Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) or similar care plans for infants and toddlers
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to document and track progress using electronic records
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and implement therapy services for infants and toddlers as part of the early intervention program
- Collaborate with teachers, caregivers, and other therapy professionals to establish goals and support the child's development
- Conduct regular progress monitoring and adapt plans as needed to ensure the best outcomes
- Educate and empower parents and caregivers with strategies for supporting motor development at home
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with district and state regulations
