Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a school-based Physical Therapist supporting students from kindergarten through twelfth grade. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in promoting mobility, independence, and academic access for learners with diverse needs. Collaborate closely with educators, families, and multi-disciplinary teams while providing direct and consultative physical therapy interventions during the school day.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Maryland Physical Therapy License required
- Experience working in educational or pediatric settings preferred
- Strong ability to adapt interventions to meet varied student goals across grade levels
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with teachers, administrators, and families
- Proficient in developing and implementing individualized education program (IEP) goals
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct PT services to K-12 students as outlined in IEPs
- Conduct assessments and develop data-driven treatment plans
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Provide consultative support and professional development for educational staff
- Complete thorough and timely documentation, maintaining compliance with special education laws and district guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and student support teams
- Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all students
