School-Based Physical Therapist - Lithonia, Georgia

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Physical Therapist license for the state
• Experience working in school-based settings or with pediatric populations is preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt therapy plans to meet diverse student needs
• Comfort collaborating with teachers, families, and other support staff

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative physical therapy services to K-12 students, in alignment with IEP goals
• Assess, plan, and deliver interventions tailored for individual student needs to enhance mobility, access, and participation in the school environment
• Monitor progress, document outcomes, and adjust treatment strategies as needed
• Contribute to IEP meetings and serve as an essential resource for teachers and families regarding student mobility and physical development
• Participate actively in case conferences, screenings, and team meetings
• Maintain all required records and reports in compliance with school and regulatory standards

This contract position runs from ASAP through the end of the school year (EOSY), with a commitment of 40 hours each week. You’ll have the opportunity to enrich the school experience for students and contribute to their growth in a collaborative, engaging environment.
