Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active licensure or eligibility as a Physical Therapist
- Experience in a school-based physical therapy setting highly preferred
- Strong understanding of pediatric physical therapy practices and IEP processes
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
- Excellent documentation and organization skills
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group therapy services for students, following IEP goals
- Assess and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed
- Consult with teachers, aides, and parents to support student mobility, motor skills, and participation
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute PT expertise to best support each student’s needs
- Maintain accurate and timely therapy records in accordance with school policies
- Adapt therapy activities and equipment for diverse student populations
