A K-12 school in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Part-Time Physical Therapist to support student healthcare needs during the upcoming school year under a contract position. This role is ideal for a licensed Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant with experience in healthcare or school settings.
Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy services to students in a school environment
- Evaluate and develop individualized treatment plans based on student needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals to support student progress
- Document therapy sessions and maintain accurate records in compliance with school policies
- Participate in meetings related to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) as required
Qualifications:
- Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with valid credentials
- Experience working in healthcare or K-12 school settings preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students and staff
- Ability to manage caseloads efficiently in a part-time capacity
