Physical Therapist - School Setting in Lowell, MA

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active and valid Physical Therapist (PT) license
• Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation
• Ability to assess, plan, and implement individualized therapy programs
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify students’ physical needs and develop appropriate therapy goals
• Design and implement interventions in coordination with educational staff for maximum student benefit
• Document student progress and maintain detailed therapy records in alignment with school guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing insights and updates on student performance
• Engage with families to support carryover of skills from school to home
• Educate staff and students on movement, safety, and positioning recommendations
